Dave Simpson is a professional music teacher instructing students online through video conferencing from his home studio. Specialising in guitar, bass and ukulele, Dave provides comprehensive training in instrumental technique and music theory for ages 5 years and up. Dave also instructs beginner to intermediate vocal and keyboard/piano.
Dave is a graduate of Box Hill Institute with a Bachelor of Applied Music and is currently completing his Master of Teaching at Deakin University. Dave is skilled in performing and teaching a wide range of music styles, and has over 10 years experience as a music educator.
Dave teaches individuals across all ages, skill and knowledge levels and adapts his curriculum to their aspirations and needs, including those within the neurodiverse community. Dave has conducted lessons in a variety of settings including individual and group lessons, in primary and high schools, school bands and with VCE students. Preparation for VCE guitar exams is available.

Dave offers private music lessons online via video conferencing on weekdays. Lessons run throughout school terms and are available during school holidays upon request.
Tuition is available for beginner to advanced guitarists, bass and ukulele players and for beginner to intermediate keyboard/pianists and vocalists. Suitable for ages 5 and up.
Lessons are 45 minutes in duration, and are provided at the same time each week.
A four-week trial is available for new students who are uncertain about committing to a full term of lessons (typically 10 weeks). Please see the Services section below for fee information and other details.

The online enrolment form must be filled in and submitted. Once your enrolment form has been processed, you will receive an email containing your invoice and the details of your lesson placement.
Direct deposit and credit card payments are accepted. Internet banking details will be provided on your invoice. Please use the Invoice No. as a reference for your direct deposit.
Students must have their own instrument and are encouraged to prepare tuners, picks/plectrums, leads, books, and any other items that may be of use during the lesson. A computer or tablet with a microphone and camera is required for video-conferencing, however an external microphone, audio interface and wired headphones can enhance the experience. Dave can remotely assist students in setting up their home learning/music studio equipment.
